Sin means missing God’s perfect standard. It includes what we think, say, and do. Even our best effort cannot make us perfect before God.

A wage is something earned. Scripture says sin earns death—physical death and separation from God. We cannot repair that separation by ourselves.

Repentance is a change of mind that turns from sin toward God. Faith is personally trusting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Confession openly agrees with God about who Jesus is and what He has done.
